Brown University is excited to host the 2020 Latinx Ivy League Conference +

 

Now, more than ever, it is pivotal for the Latinx community to unite and advocate for ourselves. For this reason, Latinx students from an array of clubs at Brown are excited to announce that the title for this year’s conference is “The Road to 2020: Harnessing Our Future.” This conference seeks to bring students from different colleges and universities and from across disciplines to discuss some of the most pressing issues affecting the Latinx community in the United States. By providing a space for Latinx students to come together, this conference seeks to promote the sharing of ideas and skills between ourselves. Through this cross-pollination of knowledge, we hope that the participants are better equipped to successfully advocate for themselves and the Latinx community at large.

In the past, the Latinx Ivy League Conference+ has brought together Latinx students from across the Ivy League but this year has expanded to include students from universities outside of the Ivy League. We want to acknowledge their voices by rebranding this conference with a “+”.

 

During this three-day conference, students will have the opportunity to participate in panels, workshops, and networking events. The 2020 Ivy Latinx League Conference+ will culminate in a gala to celebrate the richness and diversity of the Latinx Community.
